Neuro-Rehabilitation
Center
at Middleboro (NRC-M) is a 124-bed skilled nursing facility located near
downtown Middleboro,
Massachusetts
(west of
Plymouth
). The
Neuro-Rehabilitation Center
at Middleboro provides specialized services tailored to persons recovering from
brain injury and their families.
NRC-M is a one-story building on 14 wooded acres with enclosed courtyards, family
dining and privacy rooms and a layout which allows residents, families and visitors
to interact easily. NRC-M
is one of the few skilled nursing facilities in
Massachusetts
that specializes in providing the unique level of care required following brain
injury. Brain injury recovery requires a great deal of education for the survivor
and their families. This care is available The Neuro-Rehabilitation
Center at Middleboro through
the extensive experience and training of our staff. We have a younger population
at NRC-M, with an average age of 44 yrs old.
· Admission: Individuals recovering from ABI or TBI who are medically stable, have
no active suicidal behavior, have the capacity to voluntarily enter the program
or have a legal representative.
· Interdisciplinary Treatment Team includes; on-staff physician, LPN/RNs, behavior
specialists, Life Skills Trainers, case manager, social workers, recreation therapists,
PT, OT & Speech.
· All staff trained in Non-aversive Behavior Management and Certified in Non-Violent
Crisis Intervention techniques. Certified Brain Injury Specialists on staff
· Levels of Support & Supervision System from intensive supervision to community
access
· Safety/Location Checks 24 hours a day, 7 days a week · 1-1 Counseling
· 24hr Computer-Based Data Collection
· Individualized Behavior Analysis and Treatment
· Weekly Psychiatry Rounds · Life Skills Programs offered Monday thru Friday, addressing
social, vocational, cognitive, physical, and emotional domains designed to compliment
and enhance OT, PT & SLP therapies.
